And then the pandemic came, and demand skyrocketed for ALL game console generations new & USED, inflating the prices. And that high demand has remained, last time I checked. Since Late 2020 in the US, amazon and ebay are the only place to find new ones, and their prices are all inflated over their original retail price. Expect $300 for a 2ds xl, if you're lukcy. I think $325-350 is what new new New 2DS XLs were going for as of a few months ago. I expect new New 3DS XLs are likely higher, because they became scarce much earlier than New 2DS XLs.

At first glance, the two handhelds look almost identical, but a myriad of small differences between the two make them feel different to not just hold but also to play.
ReplyId probs replace the OOT Remake with Kirby Robobot tbh. I know that for a while the OOT Remake was in the list of $20 Nintendo Select 3DS games (i think the Majora Remake was too and Mario 3D Land) so it should be relatively easy to find physically at a decent price (at least its better priced than the N64 version). Also i may be a bit biased here but id also probs put Soul Hackers on here too (maybe thats just the MegaTen fan in me coming out). If not that then maybe id replace 3D Land with the SuperStar Saga Remake. Thats just how id list it. But yeah if you all want any MegaTen stuff get it now because the physical versions are already going for a lot now (like over $60 for most of them). I can only imagine that they will increase in price once the E-Shop is gone and now that MegaTen has a bit more reach here in the west. Good list other than a few minor nitpicks.

The 3DS has been around since 2011 and the original 3DS XL since 2012. However, they were both effectively replaced (you can still buy the latter from some retailers) by what Nintendo calls the new 3DS and new 3DS XL two years ago. They are the models we've been focusing on in this comparison. 041b061a72
